Professional Representation

I know when to put the phone, laptop, or other electronic distractions away and to listen and engage with people, especially clients and my colleagues in meetings or any activity. I give the people I work with my full attention, not the distractions while dressing and setting my appearance for success either at the office, in front of a client, or at a public speaking event representing my company.

References and Recommendations

I work well with others and others have said so about me since I many positive references from previous employers, supervisors, actual clients, and past team members. Please ask to receive my document “References, Recommendations, and Employment Verification” during our interview process to see what people have said about me online through LinkedIn and to be able to contact them for professional references.

Mentoring of Staff

I love working with my clients, project managers, and team members either on-site or virtually and am an open door to collaborating, mentoring, or being mentored! I lead and delivered training to a wide audience or one-on-one personal job knowledge mentoring to my colleagues. Some of my favorite experiences have been supervising and mentoring interns at the company.

Communication

I have excellent organizational and communication skills over electronic mediums such as email and documentation, the phone, or in-person projects. Many of my past projects required strong communication skills to lead the business analysis requirements gathering to the implementation of my client projects. I have documented, communicated, updated project management, and added files for projects or clients in a variety of formats such as team network drives, SharePoint, e-mail folders, remedy, and other IT management systems.

Collaboration and Teamwork

I love working with my clients, project managers, and team members either on-site or virtually and am an open door to collaborating, mentoring, or being mentored!

I have 15 years’ experience dressing-up or business-casual for the office and client engagements and being a professional at all times. I have many positive references from previous employers, supervisors, actual clients, and past team members. Please ask to receive my document “References, Recommendations, and Employment Verification” to see what people have said about me online through LinkedIn. Also, you are welcome to contact them via e-mail or phone.

Self-Starting

I am a life-long learner and often teach myself new technologies on my own to better equip myself for the knowledge skills needed for the future. I can hit the ground running, getting up to speed by reading the product documentation, tinkering with the products, and succeeding in any additional employer-driven training needed.

I have generally been assigned to projects where I am the sole multi-role of architect, developer, implementer, tester, and deliver (wearing different hats) to the clients or supervisor.

Effective Problem Solving

In most of my 15 years’ work experience, I worked in a high-reliability real-time operations work environment. My experiences have been either troubleshooting issues in the databases, software applications, and technology systems they use, listening and taking notes, follow-up, and conducting training. I have also contributed to developing and reviewing operator/control procedures during my time as an engineer supporting the operations desk personnel.

Composure

I have experience working in high-stress environments where the computer systems and data I had responsibility impacted the quality and reliability of the electric power grid. Many times, I have sat in the “hot seat” as a computer operator where data and the systems have gone in “red alert”. I learned tricks, technique, and professionalism in applying band-aid solutions to fix the immediate problem while determining the root cause and permanent fixes after a detailed analysis period of the situation.

Action Orientated

I do not idle my time or wait on detailed instructions before I start digging into a project myself and exploring different architecture possibilities, studying code, and starting to make solutions work as fast as I can.

Time Management

I understand the importance of billable project work and work at or above utility during the weeks I am assigned to projects. I sometimes take less time to complete tasks and those organizations that rely on revenue by time and expense should plan for multiple project assignments to keep me utilized to their standards.

With a proven track record of self-managing multiple projects and client work to quality completion, I accurately maintain my time accounting with high integrity of work ethics. I will not overstate hours or lie regarding billable time to meet unreasonable business metrics or win financial incentives based on quantity not the quality of work. I will accurately report and send in all business travel expense receipts per the firm or client’s travel policies and processes.

Organization

In addition to my professional communication skills, I am a talented organizer of information, e-mails, and project materials. I know where to “dig” to look up previous code, technical specifications, and project documentation so I can more efficiently do my job. My organization includes keeping a resource folder or organization where I can reference product documentation, previous project work, and other important documents.

Business Interface

I have the ability to interface on both the technical side as well as the customer/business side. I have led client projects from the technical design “architecture” phase through implementation, test, and final delivery phases.
